Work With Me
Let me tell you about the different ways you can work with me.
Time to Talk is my monthly membership. It is designed to transform your speaking and listening. My membership will take you from isolated, shy and alone trying to resurrect rusty English that you’re quickly forgetting to speaking clearly, confidently and fluently so that your English works for you and connects you with the world.
It includes 4 hours of conversation classes per week, daily speaking and listening tasks, classes with other British English speakers with strong regional accents and much more.
If you’d prefer to work at your own pace, Vowels Made Easy is a 45 minute video course that is designed to give you an overview of all 25 English vowel sounds. The course explains what the vowel quadriateral is, what lexical sets are and how they can help you to clearly and confidently pronounce British English vowels.
It also includes 3 reference sheets to help you out when you’re stuck and over 2000 English words arranged not by vowel letter but by vowel sound meaning you can systematically improve your English pronunciation.
If you’re focusing on the written word, my book will help you out.
Now more than ever it’s crucial that we know how to communicate our ideas clearly. Essays are one way we can do this.
Many students though – and maybe this includes you – feel overwhelmed at the thought of writing an essay. You look at the blank page before you and feel daunted by the process of crafting a detailed, written response to a question you have been given.
I believe that writing brilliant essays is a skill anyone can learn and in this book I take you through the process step-by-step. I also give you over 70 academic words and phrases, explain the top class mark scheme, give a full guide to the bibliography and references and more.
If you’re ready to work intensively with me on a one-to-one basis, I offer bespoke lessons to cover a range of academic English skills including speaking & listening, academic and business writing, specific exam study, formal presentations and more.
Lessons are generally an hour and you are welcome to book in as often as you need to.
Students who work with me on a one-to-basis have a wide range of learning goals, including:
- advanced presentation and writing skills
- specific professional goals including promotion and career change
- trainee teachers who would like to discuss lesson plans, observations etc
- students who are working towards a tight deadline and need help now
- and so much more. I have been teaching for over 15 years so I’m ready help you, whatever you need.
